Student i-lab Membership FAQs

Below are some frequently asked questions about the Student i-lab Membership. If you have additional questions, please email us at i-lab@harvard.edu.

Do I need to complete an application if I was a student i-lab member during the 2024 spring semester?

Yes, students must renew their membership each semester to keep their membership active and retain access to resources.

Am I eligible for the Summer Student i-lab Membership if I graduated this spring?

Yes, if you were a matriculated, degree-seeking student or eligible post-doc during the spring semester, you are eligible for the summer membership.

What should I do if I do not see the Student i-lab Membership application upon logging in?

The system displays programs for which you are eligible, based on how you answer the eligibility questionnaire that displays when you first log in. The Student i-lab Membership application will only display if you’ve selected a graduation year of 2024 or later. If you need to edit your responses, please follow these steps: Click your name in the top right corner, select “My Account,” and then “Eligibility." This will allow you to see and adjust your responses.

What should I do if my data is not pre-populating as a returning member?

If you’ve previously been involved in the membership, but applied with a non-Harvard email, our system will not sync your previous data, as it is connected to HarvardKey. However, once you complete this application, it will be able to retrieve your data for future applications.

What should I do if I am having trouble logging in with my HarvardKey?

If you are having trouble logging in with your HarvardKey, please visit the HUIT HarvardKey website. If you need further assistance, please contact ithelp@harvard.edu.

How should I apply if I am part of more than one team?

Students can only be associated with one team per semester. Please select the team you plan to devote more energy to and complete an application.
